Credit Card Payments Now Accepted

The Rural Municipality of Orkney No. 244 is now accepting online and in-office payments with select credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Visa Debit and Mastercard Debit) through the secure OptionPay System (with applicable third-party fees).

Note that all processing fees are charged by OptionPay and are not received by the Municipality.

Payments for select RM of Orkney bills and permits may now be paid by credit card online and in-office. Payments will take two to five business days to be received by the municipality, so please allow for this processing time when making your payment. Please keep in mind your daily and/or transaction processing limit when making credit card payments.

  • Accounts Receivable Invoices
  • Permits (Development, Building and Road Maintenance)

Is there an added fee for using OptionPay to my Rural Municipality of Orkney No. 244 bills with credit card?

Why is there an added fee?

  • The fees are administered through the OptionPay program for the use of their service and not through the RM of Orkney No. 244.

Is my credit card/information secure with this program?

  • OptionPay provides information on their security measures. Please note that the RM of Orkney No. 244 takes no responsibility for and accepts no liability, in the event of security breaches, technical difficulties, or other issues that may arise from your use of OptionPay.
