Emergency Use of 2% Liquid Strychnine
The RM of Orkney No. 244 has chosen to participate in the Emergency Use Registration of 2% Liquid Strychnine for the management of Richardson's Ground Squirrel.
The program is available to agricultural producers. Users must complete mandatory training which can be accessed through the SARM Website https://sarm.ca/strychnine-stewardship-training/
Proper monitoring, use and disposal must be followed or the use of Strychnine and future use will not be permitted. Audits of records and in-field audits can/will also be conducted by Provincial Authorities for both users and the RM.
